Welcome video (5 minutes) sets out the plan for the 6 week programme. I share my top three tips for getting started.
Each yoga class is approximately 45 minutes and each contains all of the elements that make up a yoga class. We begin with breathwork to calm our parasympathetic nervous system, gentle warm up movements, building heat as we move towards more challenging poses and then ending with a relaxing and nourishing savasana (rest pose). The key poses that we focus on are:
Week 1: Extended Leg Stretch to stretch hamstrings and calf muscles. This pose will improve flexibility and ease a tight lower back.
Week 2: Cat Cow Pose to stretch the abdomen, hips and back. This pose improves posture and helps to create emotional balance.
Week 3: Downward Facing Dog to stretch your spine, shoulders and hamstrings.
Week 4: Sunbird Pose to strengthen core, chest, arms and legs and improve balance.
Week 5: Cobra Backbend Pose to stretch the quads, hip flexors and chest. It is an invigorating and revitalising pose to do.
Week 6: Meditation to allow you to train your mind to focus on the present. Meditation helps to build self-awareness and ultimately develop self-compassion.
After you purchase you will receive two emails: the first an order confirmation email, and second your welcome email with a unique code to access your programme with all your videos and document to guide you on your journey (sometimes this second email goes to spam so just to let you know to check there).
